Itinerary

 

Day 1: Arrival Transfer

Upon your arrival at Bhadrapur Airport (Nepal) or Bagdogra (India), our tour guide/driver will be there to meet and assist you. You can seamlessly integrate this tour as an extension to your Nepal, Bhutan, or India tour. Choose your arrival point, whether it’s Bhadrapur, Bagdogra, or the Phuntsholing border. We’ll then embark on a picturesque drive through tea gardens to the renowned hill station, Darjeeling. Nestled at an altitude of 2042m, Darjeeling is embraced by the grandeur of the Himalayan peak, Kanchenjunga, and is rightfully hailed as the Queen of East India.

Day 2: Tiger Hill Sunrise & Darjeeling Sightseeing

Embark on an excursion to Tiger Hill (2100m) to witness the breathtaking sunrise, revealing panoramic views of Mt. Khangchendzonga, Mt. Everest, and Mt. Makalu. On your return, visit Yiga Choeling Monastery, showcasing Tibetan Buddhism’s yellow hat sect. Explore Darjeeling further with visits to the Tibetan refugee self-help center, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoo, and an evening walk around the Mall.

Day 3: Drive to Gangtok

After breakfast, check out and drive to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, a journey of approximately 5 hours. En route, make stops at Lama Hatta and Triveni viewpoints. Upon arrival in Gangtok, check-in at the hotel.

Day 4: Drive to Lachung

Today, head to the North district of Sikkim, reaching the charming village of Lachung (2400m) after a 6-7 hour drive. Enjoy lunch En route and stop at Seven Sister Waterfalls, Singik viewpoint, and Naga Waterfalls. Experience the scenic beauty and check in at the hotel in Lachung.

Day 5: Yamthang Valley Excursion & Drive to Gangtok

Explore the enchanting Yumthang Valley (3600m), often referred to as the Valley of Flowers. Witness diverse alpine wildflowers, grazing yaks, and dzos. On the way back, cross the Lachung Chu, and optionally take a dip in a hot spring. Continue the drive to Yumeysamdong Zero Point at 4700 meters for stunning mountain views. Return to Lachung for lunch, check out, and drive back to Gangtok.

Day 6: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake

Embark on a day trip to Tsomgo Lake, also known as The Source of the Lake (3760m). Dress warmly as you explore this sacred lake near the Tibet border. Take a cable car ride to Tsomgo Lake top, followed by a walk down to the lake. Stop at Ganesh tok and drive down to MG Marg for an evening in Gangtok.

Day 7: Departure Transfer

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Bagdogra, a 5-hour drive, for your departure from Bhadrapur Airport (Nepal) or Bagdogra Airport (India).
