Itinerary

 

Day 1: Drive from Pokhara (822m) to Nayapool. Trek to Ulleri (1,540 m)

Starting from Pokhara, we embark on our journey with a scenic drive to Nayapool/Birethanti. From Birethanti Village (1,015m), we follow the trail along the north bank of the Bhurung Khola, gradually ascending the valley side to Hille (1,495m). After a short climb, we reach Tikhedhunga (1,570m). Continuing our trek, we ascend a steep series of stone steps to reach Ulleri (2,070m), a charming Magar village.

Overnight stay at local lodge.

Day 2: Trek from Ulleri (1,540m) to Ghorepani (2,860m)

After enjoying a nourishing breakfast, we begin the trek from Ulleri towards Ghorepani Poon Hill. Along the trail, you will be treated to awe-inspiring views of snow-capped peaks, including the Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Hiunchuli. As you quietly ascend through the rhododendron forest, you will reach Nanghethani (2460m). Continuing for about an hour, you will reach the day’s destination – Ghorepani, a stunning settlement situated on a ridgeline. The hillside below Ghorepani is adorned with dense forests housing eight different species of rhododendron, Nepal’s national flower.

Enjoy breakfast and spend the night at a local lodge, preparing for the adventures ahead.

Day 3: Poon Hill Excursion (3,210m), then trek to Ghandruk (1,950m / 6,398ft)

An early start to the day is essential as you make your way to Poon Hill to witness the awe-inspiring sunrise over the Himalayas. From this vantage point, you’ll be treated to a panoramic view of magnificent mountain ranges, including Dhaulagiri I (8,167m), Tukuche (6,920m), Nilgiri (6,940m), Annapurna South, Annapurna I (8,091m), Hiunchuli (6,441m), and more. After capturing the breathtaking views, you’ll return to the lodge for a fulfilling breakfast.

Following breakfast, you’ll embark on a pleasant forest trail adorned with rhododendrons and oak groves, leading you to Deurali (2,960m). The trail then descends through rhododendron forests until reaching Banthanti (2,606m). After crossing the stream to the north side, the path ascends through steep forests for about 20 minutes, ultimately leading to Tadapani. Continuing through the forested path, you’ll descend to Ghandruk, a picturesque Gurung village. At Ghandruk, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the local Gurung museum, further immersing yourself in the rich local culture.

Enjoy breakfast and spend the night at a local lodge, relishing the experiences of the day and preparing for the adventures that lie ahead.

Day 4: Trek from Ghandruk (1,950m) to Kimche – Syauli Bazaar (1,220m). Drive to Nayapool (1,050m) Pokhara (820m)

It will be your final day in the trails. After leaving Ghandruk, you will hike through the picturesque rice fields and past small villages and reach Kimche-Syauli Bazaar taking around two hours. You will then bid goodbye to the trail and take local transport to Pokhara. Your trek ends at Pokhara.
