How can I get a Nepal Visa?

You can get Nepal visas upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. To make the process faster and avoid long lines, fill out the Online Nepal Visa form a week before you arrive. Bringing a printed copy with the proof number helps you get through Immigration faster. Make sure you have enough cash for the visa fee when you arrive, as the cost depends on how long you’re staying and how often you’re entering. Day 1: Arrival in Paro and Thimphu Sightseeing Tour

Arrive in Paro by Druk Air flight from Kathmandu, Delhi, or Bangkok, offering breathtaking views of mountains and landscapes. Our representative will meet you, and after visa formalities, transfer to Thimphu (54 k.m, 1 & 1/2 hrs.). En route, explore the 600-year-old Iron Bridge, Tachogang Lhakhang Bridge. Check-in at the hotel, and after lunch, embark on a Thimphu sightseeing tour covering the Buddha Statue (Great Buddha Dordenma), Tashicho Dzong, and National Memorial Chorten. In the evening, take a stroll around Thimphu town.

Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing and Drive to Gangtey

In the morning, visit the Painting school, National library, Royal Goldsmith Workshop, and Handicraft centers. Drive for 3 hours to Wangduephodrang, crossing Dochula pass at 3100 meters. Enjoy views of the eastern Himalayan ranges, including Mt. Gangar Punsum. Continue to Gangtey Gompa Valley, home to the rare Black Necked Cranes. Explore the glacier valley and return to the resort.

Day 3: Drive to Bumthang

Drive almost 6 hours, crossing passes over 3000 meters, with magnificent views of the Himalayas. Visit Trongsa Dzong on the way and continue to Bumthang, exploring the Chume weaving center. Bumthang, at an altitude of 2600m, is known for its spiritual charm and woolen material (yathra). Sightseeing includes Jakar Dzong, Jambay Lhakhang, Kurjey Monastery, Tamshing, and Kunchosum Monastery.

Day 4: Ura Valley Excursion with Hike

Embark on an excursion with a 2-hour hike to Ura village and visit the new Ura monastery. Explore the Mebartso (burning lake) and take an evening walk to the Swiss farm, experiencing traditional Bhutanese life.

Day 5: Drive to Punakha with Chimi Lakhang Hike

Drive to Punakha, stopping at Metshina Village for a 20-minute walk through rice fields to Chimi Lhakhang, a fertility temple dedicated to the Divine Madman.

Day 6: Punakha Sightseeing and Drive to Paro

Visit Punakha Dzong, the old capital of Bhutan, built between two rivers. Drive back to Paro, visiting Drugyel Dzong, Ta-Dzong (National museum), Rinpung Dzong, and crossing the traditional bridge into Paro Town.

Day 7: Takshang Monastery (Tiger Nest) Hike

Morning hike to Takshang Monastery, known as “Tiger Nest,” a 3/4-hour uphill trek through pine forests. The monastery clings to a granite cliff, and legend has it that Padmasambhava meditated here in the 7th century. On return, visit Kichu Lakhang.
