Gokyo Lakes Trek
The Gokyo Lakes Trek is one of the most beautiful and rewarding trekking adventures in the Everest region of Nepal. This spectacular journey takes trekkers through the peaceful Gokyo Valley, past the turquoise Gokyo Lakes, and to the famous viewpoint of Gokyo Ri (5,357m), offering breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and the vast Ngozumpa Glacier.
Unlike the busier Everest Base Camp route, the Gokyo Lakes Trek offers a quieter and more scenic alternative, combining dramatic Himalayan landscapes, traditional Sherpa villages, ancient monasteries, suspension bridges, and pristine high-altitude lakes that are considered sacred by both Hindus and Buddhists.
